The other side of the mirror - a slam poem

There are so many poems promoting anti-ana, anti-mia thoughts,
telling every girl to love their curves no matter what they see in the mirror.
But if every girl is beautiful just the way she is
then why is that they look with so much jealousy and hate in their eyes,
to girls who are naturally skinny or no matter what they do
they just couldn´t gain weight even when they ate all the fries on the plate feeling so full
that they could explode but yet and it made no difference.
Why is that they tell them they are too skinny, ugly, bony or they looked like a skeletton?
They also lay in bed every night thinking about their bodies
wishing they lookrd elsehow, praying to God
so they could fit the standards of this society.
They sure could be models, even the most succesful ones
but the world hated them anyway because they have those
love-hate opinions about models.
Society admirers them for their beauty but also hates them for it because
in their opinion nobody could ever look like them just by being themselves,
they make up unbelievable stories about their eating habits
and making them look bad in a beautiful way
just to make other people satisfied.
The only thing they accomplished with this nonsense is
more insecure girls trying to be good enough for something
not even knowing what for
because we claim boys don´t want thin and don´t want fat,
the only thing good is in the middle
but for every one of them the middle is closer to one or the other.
Calling a girl anorexic hurts as much as calling a girl fat
but nobody seems to care enough about that because
if you are skinny you aren´t supposed to say anything
they claim if you do then you are somehow selfish
because people would die to look like the "skinny girls".
Somehow being skinny or thin or whatever the society these girls calls
solves all the problems in the world, achieves perfection
and that is all a person could ever want right?
Like with achievig the perfect body is the ultimate goal of every person and life just stops there.
Nobody really thinks about the dreams of the skinny girls
or how they want to travel, speak langages,
go to school and have a loving family one day.
Skinny girls deserve the love as well,
they do have the right to love themselves.
They are also girls simply trying to be "perfect"
It is just the other side of the mirror,
the girls seing themselves wanting to be bigger, curvier
so they wouldn´t have to deal with all this hate,
feeling the stares of the people killing them with their eyes.
They were called beautiful many times
but what did this word "beautiful" really mean
if they were subsequently insulted for just being "Themselves"?
Pretty skinny girls crying themselves to sleep,
praying not to be called anorexic when they are really not,
wishing they put on weight therefore people couldn´t point on their showing bones,
wanting not to be hated by everyone for the appearance which was not even their fault.
